Chrysalis - Club 2000 is committed to developing appropriate alternative educational programmes for the Voluntary and the Statutory Sector. Our main focus group is young people in the 13-19 age range who may be disengaging from mainstream education / training provision for a variety of reasons.

Our "U" Choose programme came second in the 2004 National Career Awards (Social Inclusion category). We are a member of the National Awards Network.
Chrysalis - Club 2000 became a registered charity in its own right in January 2003 (The organisation was previously established in 1993 under the auspices of The Birmingham Foundation).

Although the Chrysalis - Club 2000 Head Office is in the West Midlands we work throughout the country offering training in our programmes and giving support to organisations. Chris was Head of a Life Skills Department in a multi-cultural Secondary School in Birmingham before becoming an Advisory Teacher with responsibility for student-centred learning.

She was a foster parent for over 20 years. As the founder of Chrysalis - Club 2000 she was awarded an M.B.E. in 2000 in recognition of the charity's work "raising the achievement and aspirations of young people who are at risk".
