All advisors wishing to implement the "U" Choose accredited programme must receive a one day Initial Training package, in order to be accredited by ASDAN as Internal Verifiers of the "U" Choose programme (9.30am - 4.00pm).
Participants have the opportunity to do various activities in order to understand challenge completion and recording requirements, moderating processes/national standardising arrangements in line with Awarding Body requirements. Participants also have a chance to view the resources associated with the various customised programmes. For quality assurance purposes, resources are not sold until after the Initial Training has taken place.
The cost per person for attendance on a national training day for "U" Choose is £150 + VAT. Training Days are usually held once a month in the Birmingham area*. We also have regular training events in the Lancashire Area. Discounts can be negotiated for charities and voluntary groups.
*Training is held at various locations in the Birmingham area dependent on numbers and room availability. You will be notified of the location prior to the event and maps will be despatched.
On Site Customised Training Training can be tailored to individual needs and delivered at your own venue. You may wish to invite other people to join your staff team so that the costs can be shared.
Cost: Full Day £600 +VAT for up to 8 delegates. Additional delegates are charged at £50 +VAT per person. Maximum group size is 20. There will be additional costs for travel and/or overnight accommodation for trainers, where this is necessary.
On the initial "U" Choose Training Day participants will see how Key Skills are developed during the programme. However, the specific detail of Key Skill accreditation is NOT covered as more time would be needed to cover the detail of the QCA Wider Key Skills criteria and the Awarding Body requirements. However, separate one day training packages are available for staff wishing to use the Chrysalis - Club 2000 Wider Key Skill materials.
